Wow Super Absorbent Shammy/Chamois Cloths - Shammie Sham
I saw this shammy informercial as seen on TV last night advertising super absorbent shammy cloths and was like WOW and had to post it. They were selling these super shamois cloths that could absorb spills better than a wet vac. An entertaining infomercial for sure, but from the demonstration of the cloth I think I’ll probably have to place an order for these soon. Currently they are running a special so you can buy several of these for less than $20. Use them for your car, boat, house… even your dog! Looks like they work very well for carpet spills too. They are made in Germany and hold 21 times its weight in water. They are even machine washable. Also known as shammie. Do they work? Yes they are super! I’m not sure if they are as good as Zorbeez, but I will find out soon and do a review of them next.

The Shammy may be good - but there is definitely deception in this infomercial.
Note that when he spills the soda on the piece of rug, it pours into the rug, over the rug, onto the counter. Then he mops it up with the Shammy and empties the shammy into the bowl. Then he goes back to the rug (here is the switch - new rug - less soda in it, no mess on the table at this point), presses down on the rug with the shammy and its a miracle! Not only is the soda cleaned up but its like no soda was ever poured! And the bottom of the rug is perfectly dry and completely free of any evidence there ever was soda. That is purposeful deception right there. They definitely switch rugs - check it out next time.
